Bills at full health to kick off practice week

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- Fresh off their weekend away from team facilities, the players of the Buffalo Bills were back in house and seem to be nearing full health as they prepare for the next contest. On Monday, the Bills 53-man roster had only one absence during the team's first practice of the week.

Wide receivers Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods, each of whom sat out of Buffalo's November 17 win over the New York Jets, were back on the field and practicing for the first time since their individual injuries. Johnson injured his right groin against the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Woods suffered a left ankle injury against Kansas City the week prior.

"We listed them as limited, but they truly weren't limited," head coach Doug Marrone said Monday. "They really did everything. So I was happy with those two guys, the way they came out."

The lone absence among the Bills roster was fourth-string running back Ronnie Wingo, who had no previously reported injuries. According to the head coach, Wingo's absence was expected and will harm the running back in his bank account.

No, there wasn't a roster move. There was a mechanical flight issue where he missed a flight," Marrone revealed. "He's a young guy. Can't wait till the last minute and you've gotta do your due diligence and preparation and make sure you get here. He'll be fined."

Monday was the first of four practices for the Bills this week, which all lead up to their December 1 showdown with the Atlanta Falcons (2-9) at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The team will practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, giving the players and coaches Thursday off for Thanksgiving.
