According to Business First, the two development groups vying for control of Niagara Falls’ Rainbow Centre Mall have been given extra time to fine tune their bid packages.  Empire State Development has pushed back the final submission deadline from December 12th to January 31st.  The rival bidders are Intertrust Development Inc. of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Amherst-based Uniland Development Co.

Legacy Development hopes to get all needed approvals for its University Place at LaSalle proposal in hand to start work this spring.  The $40 million project would bring an apartment campus with potentially 339 units spread over six buildings to a site off Cordova and LaSalle Avenues near McCarthy Park.
