Alonso limited for Bills once again

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- For the first time this season, the standout rookie linebacker of the Buffalo Bills has found himself on the injury report. Linebacker Kiko Alonso has a knee injury, and has been limited each of the past two days.

According to head coach Doug Marrone, however, it's nothing to be overly concerned about.

"That was more on us, just bringing him along. He wanted to do everything, but we held him back," he said after Thursday's practice. "Unless something happens between now and then, he'll play."

The linebacker has taken every single defensive snap of the 2013 season and leads the team with 131 total tackles.

Right guard Kraig Urbik (foot) and cornerback Brandon Smith (ankle) both sat out of practice. Urbik's status remains as a game-time decision for the game on Sunday. Defensive lineman Kyle Williams (Achilles) returned to practice in full after using Wednesday as a rest day.

As for Buffalo's opponents, the Jacksonville Jaguars, two of their key pieces on offense sat out of practice for the second straight day. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) and wide receiver Cecil Shorts (groin) each couldn't participate.

The Bills and Jaguars both have one more day of practice on Friday, and then both will reveal official designations for Sunday.
