Buffalo Business Report - Monday, December 16th 2013



The AAA reports the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region has jumped nine cents in the past month, to $3.65.

According to Business First, a Canadian-based real estate developer has put the largely vacant Summit Park Mall under contract.  No terms of the deal were announced.  Earlier this year, a different Canadian investment group put the mall under contract.  That deal never got off the ground.

The first residents are moving into Buffalo’s newest town home development in the city’s historic Fruit Belt Neighborhood.   49 energy-efficient, low and moderate income rental units are part of the $16 million project of the St. John Baptist Fruit Belt Community Development Corporation.

Buffalo-based Solar Liberty received a pair of acknowledgments from leading industry trade publication Solar Power World.  Solar Liberty ranked 33rd among the Top 50 Commercial Contractors and 78th on the list of Top 250 Solar Contractors.
