Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, December 18th 2013

Seneca Gaming Corp. has re-designed its mezzanine area to accommodate 350 slot machines. Simply known as “The Mezz,” the area will be a place for patrons 18 years of age and older to game. It is slated to debut December 26th.

The M&T Bank acquisition of Hudson City Bancorp continues to hit snags. This latest delay concerns M&T addressing regulatory concerns about its anti-money laundering compliance program. The termination date for the agreement has been pushed back to December 31st of next year.


Rural/Metro Medical Services has been awarded the exclusive contract to continue providing emergency ambulance services to the Town of Cheektowaga. Terms of the new four-year deal were not announced.


Autoplace Nissan and Autoplace Infiniti has agreed to a deal to help fund the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY. $10 from every car purchase through next year will be donated to the Center.


Ecology and Environment Inc. reported a first quarter profit of $400,000. Quarterly revenues were down 6% for the period.
