Bills' Stevie Johnson, Aaron Williams both ruled out

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- Entering their fifth divisional game of the season, the Buffalo Bills will be a bit short-handed on both sides of the ball. Having already ruled out starting quarterback EJ Manuel with a knee injury, head coach Doug Marrone announced that both wide receiver Stevie Johnson and safety Aaron Williams will not play against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The Bills pegged Williams as a "50-50" chance all throughout the week leading up to the final practice on Friday. With the safety not being able to practice in any capacity all week long due to an injury to his ribs, he will not be available for Buffalo this weekend.

"Aaron WIlliams loves football," Marrone said after practice. "For that kid to be hurting… he has, I don't know if anyone has had that injury. I have. It's probably one of the most painful."

As for Johnson, he wasn't expected to play because he is in California with his family following the passing of his mother last Saturday. There have been no indications as to when the wide receiver will rejoin the team.

The remainder of the injury report shouldn't be a concern for the Bills. Running back Fred Jackson (ribs), defensive lineman Kyle Williams (Achilles), defensive lineman Marcell Dareus (ankle) and cornerback Brandon Smith (ankle) all particpated in full on Friday. As a result, all four players have been labeled with the "probable" tag for the Dolphins game.

One recently acquired player will be active for the first time as a member of the team. Marrone told reporters that tight end Tony Moeaki would be a part of the gameday roster this weekend.

Buffalo and Miami squares off against one another at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday starting at 1 pm.
