Rolston Fined for Weekend Brawl

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo Sabres Coach Ron Rolston has been fined by the National Hockey League as a result of Sunday's brawl between his Sabres and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The league, in a statement, says Rolston was fined for player selection and team conduct. The league says John Scott initiated a fight with Toronto's Phil Kessel, sparking a line brawl. The two lined up against each other on the face-off. Kessel has been suspended for the remainder of the pre-season for slashing. David Clarkson received a ten game suspension for jumping the Leafs' bench.

In total, 211 penalty minutes were assessed and three game misconducts were issued.
