More concerns for Target shoppers: the discount chain reports that PINs from debit-cards are among the bits of information that were stolen from millions of customers who shopped in its stores earlier this month. The ID numbers are the ones customers type into keypads to make secure transactions. Target claims those numbers are encrypted throughout the transaction, reducing the risk to customers. This second largest theft of card accounts in U.S. history has potentially affected 40 million card holders.
