Local gas prices continue to be much higher than the national average price. The AAA reports it's $3.68 for an average gallon of unleaded in this region; and the national average of $3.33 is thirty-five cents lower. The local price has grown a nickel in the past month.


The law office of William Mattar plans to expand. Amherst's IDA will meet January 17th to discuss proposed incentives for the $4 million project. Mattar plans to demolish the Jehovah's Witness Worship Center at 6710 Main Street, which is next to its current law office. Business First reports a 19,500-square-foot building would be built to serve as the new headquarters for the firm.


The Clarence Animal Hospital has changed its name to True Care Veterinary Hospital, Clarence. An open house will be held from 8am-5pm tomorrow.
