Sabres make some changes for the Devils

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550)  -- Ville Leino isn’t quite ready to return so newly claimed Zenon Konopka will go in for the injured Drew Stafford.

On defense, Brayden McNabb takes over for Alex Sulzer.

Buffalo had a horrific two game road trip losing by a combined score of 7-1, but here at home Buffalo has won four straight and taken 11 of 12 points.

Nolan is going to shuffle his lines since Stafford can’t play. All he would say is the Ennis line will stay together while Konopka will center Matt Ellis and John Scott. This injury should give us a good chance to see if Linus Omark can actually play in this league.

In seven games Buffalo only has one power play goal going 1-for-22. The penalty kill has been perfect in 12 out of 15 games.

The Devils hosted Chicago last night and lost 5-3. New Jersey is out of the playoff picture in the East, but is only two points behind Philadelphia for third and the final playoff spot in the Metropolitan Division.

Both New Jersey goaltenders, Martin Brodeur and Cory Schneider have given up six goals in their last two games.

After scoring 11 points in seven games, Jaromir Jagr has just one point in five.

Ryane Clowe has missed most of the season with injuries, but he has been back for four games.

Patrick Elias missed last night’s game with what the Devils are calling body soreness.

Last time the two teams met it was in Newark. Jhonas Enroth shut the Devils out through regulation, but lost the game 1-0 when former Sabre Steve Bernier scored.

Join Brian Koziol for the pregame at 7:00 when he’ll be joined by Ted Nolan, Zenon Konopka and Tyler Ennis.

How will the Bills fare with Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown?
They'll be fine. NFL running backs are interchangeable.
They're in trouble. Fred and CJ are too important.
