Bills extend Brian Moorman

(WGR 550) -- A long-time member of the Buffalo Bills will be coming back for another season. The Bills announced on Friday that they've signed punter Brian Moorman to a contract extension, which would make 2014 his 14th season with the franchise.

After being released by the team just three games into the 2012 season, Moorman hooked on with the Dallas Cowboys for 12 games. Moorman completed his return trip to Buffalo after the team parted ways with second-year player Shawn Powell and signed the veteran for the final 11 weeks of the season.

In 2013, Moorman had 61 punts yielding a net average of 36.6 yards. He landed 16 of his 61 punts inside the 20-yard line of the Bills' opponents.

Moorman will be 38 years old when training camp opens in August. Terms of the extension were not disclosed.
