East Aurora's Astronics Corporation has confirmed its sixth acquisition since 2009.  Irvine, California-based EADS North American’s Test and Services division has been purchased for a reported $53 million.  Astronics has used these subsidiaries to support its mission to grow in the aerospace and defense industries.  Business First reports Astronics shares have risen sharply over the past year to $61.77 from $18.40.

Citing steady growth, Saint-Gobain Corp. may add up to four machine operators this year at one of its 65-person Niagara Falls facilities.

Long-time agency principal Robert Travers will retire, effective February 1st.  That has led to a restructuring and 6 layoffs at marketing communications firm Travers Collins.

The parent company of the Bank of Castile reported fourth quarter net income of $14.3 million.  Earnings per share went from seventy-seven cents per share last year to ninety-six cents per share for the same quarter this year.
