Buffalo Business Report - Monday, February 17th 2014

The local gas price average is thirty cents higher than the national average.  The AAA reports a gallon of unleaded in WNY costs $3.65.

A slight change of plans for Flying Bison's proposed headquarters and tasting room at 840 Seneca Street.  According to Business First, a revised proposal has been sent to the Buffalo Planning Board.  Instead of refurbishing the existing structure, Flying Bison wants to raze the building and construct a new facility at the same location.

A modification of plans is in the works for Northtown.  The automobile dealership has submitted a development proposal to the Amherst Planning Board that details an effort to construct a Subaru-only series of buildings.  Northtown Subaru on Sheridan Drive currently shares space with a Hyundai sales center.  The plan is to convert a former Sheridan Drive bowling alley property and adjoining building into the Subaru campus.

UB doesn't have the funding for it, but a long-term plan involving football stadium improvements has been unveiled.  The “UB Athletics Facilities Master Plan” also envisions separate soccer and baseball stadiums near the football field.  A $50 million price tag has been put on the collective projects.
