Finland knocks out Russia

Finland beat the Russians 3-1 Wednesday morning, knocking them out of the quarterfinals and ending their chances of winning a hockey gold medal.

Russian and Soviet teams have won eight gold medals in hockey, but none in the last 22 years.

Teemu Selanne scored a goal in Finland's win and Mikael Granlund and a goal and an assist. Ilya Kovalchuk had the lone goal for Russia and goalie Semyon Varlamov was pulled after giving up three goals.

Finland will play Sweden in the semifinals.

Are you planning to see Connor McDavid when he plays at FNC this season?
Absolutely. Its a chance to see a generational player in person
Yes and I'm going to see some games in Erie too
No. The Sabres probably won't get him so I don't need to see him
