Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, February 20th 2014

Global Spectrum, who last month, was awarded a contract to oversee promotions and operations at downtown Buffalo’s Canalside District has started its outreach to hire several key positions.  The company is seeking eight, key managerial-level positions for Canalside.  You can find more information on the open positions by following this link.

A new downtown restaurant is working steadily toward its opening by this summer.  Business First reports the operators of Oshun have received building permits from the city of Buffalo, while also beginning the process receiving its liquor license from the New York State Liquor Authority.

Silver Airways, which services the Jamestown Airport, will no longer do so by mid-May.  Declining passenger counts and rising costs led to the decision to stop service from Jamestown to Cleveland and Bradford, Pa.

What should the NFL to do the New England Patriots?
  This has all been overblown. Just move on.
  Strip them of a draft pick or picks and fine them.
  A suspension is warranted for Belichick and/or Brady.
