The Sabres practiced this morning at the H.S.B.C. Arena. The team welcomed back forward Adam Mair, who missed yesterday's workout to rest a sore knee. Tim Connolly however was not at practice, still dealing with the pain from a bone spur and torn labrum in his hip. Connolly will not play Wednesday night when the team takes on Tampa Bay.
Teppo Numminen was seen at the arena carrying his equipment. This was the first time Numminen has been seen at the arena since undergoing ankle surgery. Head Coach Lindy Ruff said that Numminen was just being checked out by the team and would not speculate on whether or not Numminen was ready for a return.
"Right now we're just evaluating where he's at. It was nice to see him around. I haven't seen him at the rink for quite some time but he had the procedure on his ankle and that looks a lot better."
Numminen did not skate and was not available for comment.
