Buffalo Business Report - Friday, February 28th 2014

The gap between local and national gas averages has closed a bit. The AAA reports the Buffalo-Niagara Falls cost for a gallon of unleaded is $3.72; still twenty-seven cents higher than the national average of $3.45.

The SPCA Serving Erie County recently began a capital campaign for a proposed new headquarters. Unveiled was a rendering of a new shelter to go on land near the intersection of the I-90 and Rte 400.

Williamsville-based lice-treatment center Naughty Nits has added a second location. It's in suburban Rochester.

Mullican Flooring, a leading manufacturer of quality hardwood floors, has provided flooring for an upcoming episode of “Flipping Boston,” a TV series on the A&E channel. The episode is scheduled to air tomorrow at noon.

 The KegWorks Store, located on Military Road in Kenmore, will have two booths at the upcoming Buffalo Home Show. KegWorks plans to provide information about custom home bars.
