Bills name 7 to "New Stadium Working Group"

(WGR 550) -- With the Buffalo Bills entering into the unknown as far as their ownership is concerned, the team, county and state are all looking into the long-term viability and sustainability of potentially building a new stadium in western New York. The group will also be looking at the possible construction of a new stadium either where Ralph Wilson Stadium currently resides or in a new location, and also whether a substantial renovation of the current stadium would be the best course of action.

Both Erie County and the state of New York have named their members of the "New Stadium Working Group" advisory committee, and the Bills have officially named their seven members as well.

Joining the committee that could be as big as 21, the team announced President and CEO Russ Brandon, team CFO Jeffrey Littman, team EVP Mary Owen, United States Senator Charles Schumer, New Era Cap Company CEO Christopher Koch, LPCiminelli Chairman Louis P. Ciminelli and SoftBank Capital Managing Partner Jordan Levy as their seven members.

The septet is added to a group that already consists of 13 names:

From Erie County, Executive Mark Poloncarz, Deputy County Executive Richard Tobe, County Commissioner of Environment and Planning Maria R. Whyte, Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo President Clotilder Perez-Bode Dedecker, M&T Bank Vice President Kathleen Hochul, Clover Management President Michael Joseph and the retired President and CEO of HealthNow New York Alphonso O'Neil-White.

Representing the state of New York are Governor Andrew Cuomo, Lt. Governor Robert Duffy, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster, Buffalo/Niagara Partnership CEO Dottie Gallagher-Cohen and Empire State Development President Kenneth Adams.
