Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, March 27th 2014

According to Business First, the cost to build the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo has risen to $270 million.  The amended plan includes a 9-bed children’s cancer unit on the 12th floor to be operated in collaboration with Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Ten Key Bank branches will be closed in Erie and Niagara Counties between July 18th and August 1st.  Seven of those branches are former HSBC offices that KeyBank acquired in mid-2012.

The ECIDA has approved two renovation projects.  An Ellicott Development Co. affiliate will revamp a 173 Elm Street building into a mix of apartments and office space.  Developer Rocco Termini will transform the former American Radiator Co. headquarters at 1807 Elmwood Avenue into the Arco Lofts.

Orleans County's Economic Development Agency is crafting an incentive package to enable expansion for Brunner International in Medina.  The $10 million project will add up to 35 new jobs.  Brunner currently produces components for heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
