Let's eat two!

Buffalo Business Report - Monday, March 31st 2014

It's Baseball's Opening Day and The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council estimates that fans will eat a whopping 21,357,316 hot dogs and over 5-1/2 million sausages during the 2014 Major League season.  Dodger dog digestion is expected to surpass the three million mark this season in LA.  Also of note - Milwaukee isn't #1 for projected sausage consumption.

Research from the Montreal Economic Institute shows Canadian travelers pay about $428 more for round-trip flights than their American counterparts.  This is a major reason that an estimated five million Canadians cross the border and fly from places like Buffalo Niagara International Airport.  The estimated economic loss for Canada is $2.4 billion yearly.

Tops Holding II Corp., parent of Tops Markets LLC reported a net loss of $29.19 million last year.  However, overall sales were up nearly 5 percent.

Kaleida Health recently received certification from DNV GL Healthcare as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, reflecting the highest level of competence for treatment of serious stroke events.
