Buffalo Business Report - Friday, April 4th 2014

The AAA pegs the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region at $3.74.  That is now just seventeen cents higher than the national average of $3.57.

Business First reports that Indian restaurant Kabab & Curry will be leaving its Transit Road spot for 8445 Main Street in space formerly used by Hirsch's Restaurant.  The Transit Road site will be home to an Auto Zone outlet.     

A second area Savers store is coming to the Sheridan-Eggert Plaza in the Town of Tonawanda.  It will open sometime later this year.  The original Savers store is near the McKinley Mall.

The Better Business Bureau serving Upstate New York has announced its Torch Award for Marketplace Excellence winners.  Honored in the corporate business category was West Herr Automotive Group of Buffalo.  Comfort Windows of Syracuse was honored in the large business category.
