Buffalo Business Report - Monday, April 7th 2014

The New York Power Authority has awarded a pair of contracts.  One deal with Ferguson Electric is for installation of equipment at NYPA's Lewiston Pump-Generating Plant.  The other contract with Quality Inspection Services is for on-call testing and inspection services at the Niagara project.

According to Business First, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services has filed a proposal with the Buffalo Planning Board.  The plan is to expand by renovating a three-story building at 306 Delaware Avenue and adding two more floors.

Lockhouse Distillery recently received the gold medal for wine grape based vodka at the American Distilling Institute's Eight Annual Judging of Craft American Spirits.  The competition was held in Seattle, Washington.
