Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, April 9th 2014

Business First reports that Buffalo Surgery Center LLC has filed plans to build a $1.2 million, 35,000-square-foot facility at 3901 Sheridan Drive next door to its existing building on the Excelsior Orthopaedics LLP campus.  That expansion will also allow Excelsior to expand by another 10,000 square feet with four additional clinic and exam rooms and likely more X-ray capability.

Sonwil Distribution Center purchased four natural gas-powered trucks last year.  It plans to double the fleet with purchases this year.  That also means the company is looking for new drivers, with plans to hire at least five.

The National Wild Turkey Federation in South Carolina is constructing a new shooting complex adjacent to its headquarters.  That work will be done by SCMC LLC, a subsidiary of Seneca Holdings LLC.  No monetary terms were made public.

The first-ever Buffalo Means Business Networking Event will be held tomorrow night from 4-8pm at Prior Aviation.  Tickets are available through a link at
