Buffalo Business Report - Friday, April 11th 2014

State officials have approved a revised plan for the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.  The $270 million project will bring a 410,000-square-foot, 12-story facility to Ellicott Street between the Buffalo General Medical Center and Conventus.

The state denied a proposal for a planned ambulatory surgery center project in Orchard Park.

Hornblower officials hope to begin cruises up to Niagara Falls by mid-May.  The company won a 30-year contract to run tour boats from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls by the Niagara Parks Commission two years ago.  Business First reports that the existence of large ice chunks is keeping the boats out of the water.  The Maid of the Mist boats operating from the American shoreline are in a similar predicament.

Blackbird Asset Services, LLC has been selected to broker a 214 acre development parcel in Ruby Lake, Florida.
