Sabres clean out lockers

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550)  -- As the Sabres cleaned out their lockers on Monday we got a better look into some of the injuries.

Jhonas Enroth has a sprained MCL. Enroth is progressing and hopes to be with Team Sweden in May as they try to defend their World Championship.

Tyler Myers has two broken ribs and needed another week or so to get back. Myers has been contacted by Team Canada.

This one really isn’t news, Alex Sulzer has a concussion.

Nathan Lieuwen doesn’t feel this concussion is as bad as the one he had during an auto accident when he was in junior hockey. At that time doctors told him to end his career, but he said this one feels different and he hopes to rejoin the Amerks if they go through a couple of playoff rounds. Lieuwen does not remember the hit from Jay Rosehill.

Both Ted Nolan and Zemgus Girgensons will be with Latvia for the Worlds.

Drew Stafford may play for Team USA.

Michal Neuvirth claims his groin injury got worse after he tried practicing on it and never got better.

Chris Stewart re-injured his ankle.

GM Tim Murray and coach Ted Nolan will meet the media Tuesday at 1:00. You’ll be able to hear it live on WGR Sports Radio 550.
