Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, April 17th 2014



The Buffalo Niagara region has been pinpointed by Citigroup Inc. as a potential expansion site for some of its global operations.  Business First reports Citigroup representatives have met with area developers and public-sector agencies to scout sites.  Amherst is the preferred choice for a proposed100,000-square-foot facility.  Citigroup is also eyeing outside communities for the same expansion project.

Fidelis Care is adding 75 new information technology jobs at its Buffalo regional office this year. The positions range from entry-level to management and can be applied for by following this link.

Sleep medicine physician Dr. Anthony J. Buscaglia has purchased Buffalo Sleep Specialists’ 4-bed sleep center for an undisclosed price.  The plan is to move the new sleep lab to the OLV-Brierwood Medical Centre building at 3040 Amsdell Road, Hamburg by mid-May.

Orchard Fresh Executive Chef Erin Horton is a finalist in the 2014 Food Marketing Institute’s Supermarket Chef Showdown.  The annual recipe competition is designed specifically to celebrate and honor Supermarket Chefs.
