Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, April 30th 2014



Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and Rehabilitation Center will merge with Catholic Health System.  Business First reports that it's unknown at this time whether lay-offs or consolidation of services will be required.  State regulators also still need to sign off on the deal.

The Western New York Proceeds Allocation Board approved funding for projects at three local companies.  We Care Transportation, Nexus Natural Gas LLC of Tonawanda and Innomotive Solutions Groups LLC will collectively create 128 new jobs with their funding allocations.

Buffalo-based Cobey Energy is now manufacturing compressed natural gas storage vessels.  It has long been a manufacturer of filling station equipment.

Scrufari Construction Co. of Niagara Falls has been awarded the Peace Bridge Renovation project for $4.667 million and the Niagara Falls International Railway Station and Intermodal Transportation Center for $22.691 million.
