Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, May 13th 2014

The Buffalo waterfront continues to take shape.  The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. has retained architecture and design firm Perkins + Will to create a development blueprint for 171 acres of the nearly 400-acre Outer Harbor property.  

Governor Cuomo has officially designated the Buffalo Harbor State Park as the 180th in the state.  The park will receive an initial investment of $15 million for improvements and enhancements.

Hofbrauhaus US is expected to open by next summer somewhere near Canalside.  A franchise agreement has been signed by restaurateur Kevin Townsell.  

Empire State Development has provided more grants to The Genesee County Economic Development Center.  The grants will be used in part to purchase additional land for the Western New York Science, Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Park, or STAMP project.

Investment firm McCollum Christoferson Group has moved upstairs to the second floor of 500 Corporate Parkway.  The firm has also hired another associate.
