As part of its purchase of  four Buffalo Athletic Clubs and two Rochester Athletic Clubs last December, LA Fitness is moving to consolidate.  Members of the BAC in Williamsville will relocate to LA Fitness Clarence - about one minute away.  Members of the BAC in Amherst on Niagara Falls Blvd. will be relocated to the new LA Fitness Amherst club about 3 minutes away.  That new club is under construction and scheduled to open in mid-July.

Dunkin' Donuts will hold a grand opening for its newest restaurant at 1280 Sweet Home Road in Amherst tomorrow from 2-4pm.  The store, located near UB, is the 111th Dunkin' Donuts outlet in Western New York.

The state Labor Department announced there was more private-sector job growth in April in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area.  The metro region picked up 3,400 private-sector positions, for an increase of 0.8 percent.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York reported Thursday that the general business conditions index for May rose to 19.0 - its highest level in nearly four years.

What do you think about the Bills acquisition of Matt Cassel?
  I like it. They can win with Cassel, a strong run game and great defense.
  I don't like it. He's done nothing since his big year in 2010.
  The Bills should still bring in another QB to compete.
