Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, June 3rd 2014

Polonia Holdings LLC will buy the former Chudy Paper Co. warehouse on Lombard Street as a manufacturing base for Bison Distillery.  Plans are to produce rye-based vodka and whiskey.  That makes for three local distilleries; Lockhouse Distillery will be moving into the former Nicholson & Hall warehouse on Columbia Street later this year; Black Squirrel is due to start production on Elmwood Avenue.

Brazilian steakhouse Texas de Brazil will open a restaurant this June at the Walden Galleria.

United States Gypsum Company, a subsidiary of USG Corporation, will make a significant capital investment to upgrade its paper mill operations in Genesee County.  The $19 million investment retains 98 jobs and will create 12 more positions.

Picone Construction Corp. has completed work on a Carquest Auto Parts Store at 6370 Transit Road in Cheektowaga.
