The third annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Friendliness Survey has been released. Buffalo was among the survey's worst-performing cities as rated by their small business owners. Sacramento and Providence were also on that list. One positive note: Buffalo received a grade of "B+" in health and safety.
Anchor Bar will open a new location in Williamsville, at the corner of Sheridan Drive and Transit Road. The new site is expected to open this October.
Continental Services Group Inc. has signed a 10-year lease with the AppleTree Business Park. The collections agency expects to double its Buffalo area workforce to more than 200 people once the move is completed by this September.

Orleans CommunityHealth, which operates Medina Memorial Hospital and other health care facilities in Orleans and Genesee counties has brokered an affiliation agreement with Catholic Health System. Terms of that deal were not specified.
