Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, June 19th 2014

It was a pretty big day for the ECIDA Wednesday.  The group approved incentives for a half-dozen regional projects.  Business First reports those projects represent more than $44.1 million in private-sector investment.  They will create 67 new jobs and retain more than 13-hundred jobs.

JEC Capital Partners and Ratio Capital Management have bought up 10%  of Synacor Inc.’s stock.  That boosted the Buffalo-based tech company's stock by eighteen cents to $2.33.

The Buffalo Planning Board has approved an environmental review for the H.H. Richardson Towers on Elmwood Avenue.  It's the first step in a process that will eventually transform the building into a boutique hotel.  The hope is to open the hotel by June 2016.

Two job fairs today - a "Hiring Our Heroes" event runs 10am-1pm at the Connecticut Street Armory.  Seneca Gaming hosts a career fair from 10am-6pm at 1 Fulton Street in Buffalo.
