Buffalo Business Report - Friday, June 20th 2014



The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded New York’s Chobani Yogurt with a one-month contract to provide its yogurt to public schools across seven states through the USDA’s School Lunch Program Pilot.  In addition, Buffalo-based Upstate Niagara Cooperative will also be supplying schools in Arizona with Greek Yogurt.

According to the State Labor Department, employment was up 0.7% for May for the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region.  That matched the private sector growth rate, with actual job hires equaling 3,000 for the period.

Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP is preparing to move to its new headquarters at 8321 Main St. in Clarence, between Transit and Harris Hill Roads.  

The second Rochester-area Mighty Taco location in Greece, NY is the 23rd restaurant in the chain.  The new eatery is in the Erie Canal Commons Plaza.
