In order to stay competitive, United Airlines is outsourcing more than 600 jobs at 12 airports around the country.  Buffalo Niagara International is one of those.  The move affects ticket and gate agents and baggage handlers at airports served mostly by smaller United Express flights.  The cost cutting measure has been expected since May.  

AT&T has finished another round of expanded 4G LTE service in the region.  The areas impacted are scattered throughout Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Genesee and Chautauqua Counties.

NOCO has donated $25,000 to the Canisius College men’s ice hockey program.  The funds are for use toward the college’s Locker Room Project, which will provide a state-of-the-art locker room at the new facility.

Through the month of July, the SPCA Serving Erie County will receive partial proceeds from the sale of an all-new SPCA ice cream.  Doggone Delight was created by  - and is available at - Sweet Jenny's in Williamsville and Oh Pour L'Amour Du Chocolat in Amherst.  Doggone Delight is a vanilla ice cream with pretzel pieces, peanut butter, and a fudge swirl!
