When the Sabres play in Montreal tonight, they will have defenseman Jaro Spacek in the line-up. Spacek has missed 10 games with an upper-body injury. Head Coach Lindy Ruff was not present for today's optional skate, so there is no word on which defensemen will come out of the line-up for Spacek.
Dan Paille suffered an upper body injury in Tuesday win over Toronto but he told WGR 550's Paul Hamilton that he will be ready to play tonight. We'll get the official word from Coach Ruff before the puck drops in Montreal. Teppo Numminen will not play.
The Sabres need a win to stay alive in the play-off hunt. Washington plays host to Tampa Bay. If the Capitals win, Buffalo would no longer be able to catch them in the standings. Boston and Philadelphia are both off tonight.
Face-off for Buffalo and Montreal is set for 7:30.
