Götze's goal wins World Cup for Germany

There were 113 scoreless minutes of soccer on Sunday afternoon in Brazil.

In that 113th's minute, Mario Götze, a substitute for all-time World Cup goal-scoring leader Miroslav Klose, buried a cross from Andre Schurrle.

The Germans had 10 shots, 5 of which were on target.  Argentina also had 10 shots, but they had no shots on target.  The one that was on target was offsides.

The best chance of the first half came in stoppage time. Benedikt Howedes headed a goal right off the post.

The win was Germany's 4th ever World Cup title, their last one coming against Argentina back in 1990 in Italy.
