Buffalo Business Report - Monday, July 14th 2014

The AAA reports the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region is down a penny from last week, at $3.84 per gallon.

According to Business First, Columbus, Ohio-based EWI has already established a working relationship with Jiffy-tite Co.   EWI's Buffalo-based advanced manufacturing institute isn't officially opening until later this summer, but Jiffy-tite jumped at the chance for an earlier collaboration.  The Clarence manufacturer employs 271 people.

The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority, along with the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission, has announced that the NEXUS trusted travel program officially has one million members.

Amherst Alarm, Inc. is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
