Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, July 31st 2014

The offices of Visit Buffalo Niagara will be moving to different downtown digs.  Business First reports the agency has signed a 10-year lease with the owners of the Brisbane Building.  The intent is to occupy 8,000 square feet on the 6th floor for its offices and visitor's center.  VBN will move from the Market Arcade to its new location by late October.

Basil Volkswagen of Lockport celebrates its grand opening today at 6179 South Transit Road.  That's next door to Basil Toyota.

TAM Ceramics LLC of Niagara Falls has added staff and equipment as it begins an $8 million upgrade to its manufacturing facility.

Astronics Corp. hit a quarterly sales record of $174.56 million.  Second quarter net income was up 154% from the same period last year, at $13.14 million.

Sprint has expanded the reach of its 4G LTE network to seventeen new markets.  Buffalo is on that list.

Sevenson Environmental Services Inc., of Niagara Falls, has honored four of its tractor-trailer drivers for a combined 1.2 million miles of safe driving.
