Bills ownership update; Two more Canadian-based prospective groups

According to the Buffalo News, at least two more Canadian-based suitors have explored a Bills purchase.

The Aquilini Investment group (pictured above) owns the Vacouver Canucs. The group has gone deep enough into the process to at least have signed the non-disclosure agreement.

So has John Bitove. Bitove founded the Toronto Raptors and served as president of Toronto's 2008 Olympic bid. He owns hundreds of fast food restaurants across canada.

At this point it is unclear whether the Aquilinis or Bitove are scheduled to meet with the estate of Ralph Wilson Junior for face-to-face presentations that began on Wednesday.

Other New names include the Chicago-based Pritzker family, who are heirs to the Hyatt Hotel fortune, and Dean Metropoulos, who was the runner-up in bidding for the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise in 2011.

Keep it locked to WGR and for the latest.

Are the Sabres now a legitimate playoff contender for next season?
Yes. They may not make it but they'll be in the race all season.
No, not yet. They still need a defenseman and another good winger.
