From The Locker Room: Sabres-Panthers

Read Robin Lehner, Sam Reinhart and Dan Bylsma's thoughts following the Sabres' 4-3 shootout defeat in Carolina.

Robin Lehner
"We gave it away to them. They came out hard and had a good 1st period. I think both teams had a good 2nd, but we definitely played better. Turnovers killed us a little bit, I thought we were fighting, but it comes down to small plays in this league."

"Keep working on [shootouts]...that first one, caught me a little off guard...Barkov's a good shooter. What can I say?"

Sam Reinhart
"Right now it's frustarting. I'm not going to lie. The thing I do like is that no matter where we are in our game, we feel like we can produce enough offense where we can play ourselves back in that game."

"They really took over from there, but the way we came at them in the 2nd, if we play three that way, we get that game more times than not."

Dan Bylsma
"Keep trying and keep working at [shootouts]. We keep practicing them a different way, focus a different way, mindset a different way. It's what we gotta keep doing."

shootouts
Sabres really suck in shootouts. When 3 on 3 comes to an end, you figure it's over. Miss Miller in goal and J.H. with that nasty backhand in shootouts.

Bogo and Kulikov
killed the sabres on the last goal. Kuli gave the puck away on the boards, and Bogo was tossed aside like a rag doll. Two expensive d-men playing too softly to win anything.

Work on shootouts?
How about winning it in regulation by playing a full 60 minutes and not having to come back from 2 goal deficits.Taking way too long to get their skates going. Not a big Lehner fan but he did keep it a 1 goal game in a horrible 1st period.

Robin
he stinks in shootouts plain and simple. shooters know once that huge frame gets moving, he cannot rebound as quickly as smaller more agile goalie. he has the worst save % in the NHL in shootouts (by far)

Linus
Sabres are a good young team that seems to be getting better as the season goes on. However it does not matter because the goaltending is horrendous. Bring up Linus Ullmark, let him grow with the young guys in front of him and end the Lehner experiment now.

Shootouts
Too bad the Sabres couldn't adopt a designated shootout goalie rule. Put the back-up in and pull Lehner until he gets it right. Also, the coach's selection of shooters STINKS!

If the Chargers actually traded Philip Rivers, would you want the Bills to get him?
Absolutely! Big time upgrade at QB
No thanks. 21 INT's last season. He's a turnover machine
