Check out what Robin Lehner, Sam Reinhart and Evan Rodrigues had to say after the Sabres' 2-0 win over the Avalanche.
"It was kind of nice, I kind of started getting bored there in the 2nd a little bit, but it was very nice to see. We had 3 or 4 guys in the middle the whole 2nd period, we're dumping pucks when we didn't have anything. We did a lot of things right today."
"They came out hard the first minute, minute and a half...didn't have much for the rest of the period. Then we took over. We made a big push in the 2nd, even in the 3rd. We hit a couple of posts, missed a couple of open nets. We could have put it away earlier, I think it was bouncing in the wrong direction for us a little bit."
"I think that was our best game in a while at limiting their time in the offensive zone. Breaking the puck up as quick as possible and keeping it down there. When they did break us down, Lehner was there again. It seems like a broken record at this point, but he's been there to bail us out a lot."
"We had a lot of pressure all game on them. Their goalie made some saves, we missed a couple...but I thought we played a pretty good full 60 tonight."
"We weren't trying anything special, we were getting pucks in and then working it down low. They gave us a lot of space, especially behind their net. We utilized that, putting pucks to the net and reloading, and getting more pucks to the net."
