It really comes down to THIS picture. I had a little bit of interest in Jason Smith a few months ago. He's a physical defenseman, who has plenty of experience. He plays hard. He plays tough. And...I THINK, based on the picture that a gunshot to the face wouldn't stop him.
The Sabres missed out on...well...everyone to this point.
They haven't missed out on the guy that I pegged as a perfect fit about 4 months ago. I know the knocks against him.

Yeah Glen? I don't care. We need someone slower. Because apparently the Sabres defense corps is too fast to hit anyone. Time to get a guy who is too slow to get out of the way of a slapshot from the point. TIme to get a guy that is too slow to skate away, and instead has to clear the area in front of the net.
