Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) -- Lindy Ruff is inserting Maxim Afinogenov and Henrik Tallinder back into the line-up. The Russian will play LW for C Clarke MacArthur and RW Mark Mancari. Paul Gaustad moves to LW with Jochen Hecht and Jason Pominville. Thomas Vanek is reunited with Derek Roy and Drew Stafford. Ruff says Dan Paille is sitting in part because he's been suffering from the flu. Nathan Paetsch is also out with Ryan Miller back in goal.
You'll hear from Afinogenov in tonight's pregame with Schopp and the Bulldog. He is not happy. Jerry Sullivan asked him if he'd like to play elsewhere and Max said, "No comment." He claims Lindy Ruff has not spoken to him and he says he's very angry. He did say he plays better when he's happy.
