Reports: Moulds in Chippewa fight

nick@wgr550.com

(WGR 550) -- The reports continue to roll in from an alleged bar fight involving former Bills wide receiver Eric Moulds that is receiving national attention.

The Buffalo News adds the latest, reporting that a 30-year old Buffalo man told the police he attempted to shake Moulds' hand outside Liars on Chippewa at 2:15 a.m. Friday, and that Moulds punched him in the face. The man reportedly suffered a "cut to his bottom lip and lost a tooth," according to a police report. It goes on to say that the victim was released from Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Both WIVB and WGRZ have reported the incident to varying degrees. A video surveillance camera caught a fight on tape outside of Liars on Chippewa, and multiple sources told Channel 2's Addie Bradshaw that a "man who claims to be the victim of the fight says Moulds was the other person involved with him."

That report also says, "Police spokesman Mike Degeorge would only say that police are investigating an incident that's said to involve a former Bills player," and "that a current Bills player was also there at the time but was not involved in any way."

That current Bill is reported to be Josh Reed by Channel 4's Emma Orn and Tim Baxter. According to their report, Moulds allegedly assaulted an "Iraq war veteran," and that their sources say Reed was there, but only a witness. A Buffalo Police spokesman said people are being questioned about the alleged event.

No charges have been filed.
