With Marshawn Lynch suspended for the first three games of the season and Fred Jackson uphappy with his contract situation the Bills have agreed to terms with Colts free agent RB Dominic Rhodes. Rhodes told NFL Radio that he'd ink a two year deal Monday. He claims he's been told he'll be given the opportunity to start the opener in New England.
Rhodes had four starts in Indianapolis last season rushing for 538 yards and 6 TD's. Rhodes had three straight games of over 70 yards rushing. His best game was in week 16 when he rushed for 86 yards against Detroit. He had an umimpressive 3.5 yard per carry for the season. He's 30 years old and has played eight years in the NFL with Indy and Oakland. He only spent one season with the Raiders.
This signing is suprising in light of three Bills players being arrested in this off season. On Wednesday, Bills C.O.O. Russ Brandon claimed character was important to him. That statement is now laughable as two days later he agrees to terms with a RB that had a DUI arrest in 2007 and was suspended four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
