So, the WGR rookie is in an online format this year, huh? Well, why not. T.O. tweets, Donte Whitner Facebooks (Facebook needs a better moniker for its updates), and BuffaloBills.com texts me with player updates. Oh, and of course to remind me to buy my season tickets. Heck, why not take the entire NFL season online. Can’t be in front of the TV on Sunday for the game? Have no fear, we now Twitter the games. No more being stuck at that dreaded Sunday family party without access to your favorite team. Heck you can even be productive. You can be out working on the honey-do list and “watching” the Bills game on your mobile phone. I can see John Murphy’s tweets now: “Edwards to T.O.> TOUCHDOWN!!! FTW! Woot!” That followed by T.O. pulling his iPhone out of his sock, and tweeting “Hey Romo..eat my shorts LOL!!!” .Then Donte Whitner rushes over to get T.O. posing for a picture with the Rock Pile after leaping into the stands. Whitner uploads the photo to his Facebook profile and each Bills fan gets a notification on their phone that Donte updated his Facebook page. The notification of course plays the Bills Shout Song letting you know that the Bills scored. You dance in elation wherever you are, singing along with the “Heyyyayyyyayyyayyyy. LET’S GOOO BUFFALOOOO” Others at your location join in, you’re doing the “coffee grinder” dance with the Valu guy and life is good. You’re “watching” the Bills game and having a productive Sunday at the same time. Suddenly, “Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?” has meaning even at the Winkleton’s anniversary party. All made possible by Al Gore’s internet. Gotta go…T.O. just tweeted…hopefully he’s not squeezing the Charmin…
