Kevin in Snyder (submitted 6/25) - I hate blogging

Seriously, I hate the idea that anyone, anywhere (like me), can “publish” any thought they may have on any subject regardless of their experience, expertise or insight. What makes matters worse, is I wish I had a quarter for every time a blog has been cited as evidence of truth on a particular subject. Blogging is not “publishing”! Blogging is the written form of what I accuse my wife of doing on a daily basis – talking without thinking. So that being said, here is my blog.
I love TO. However, his tweets make him seem like a 12-year old girl. I am embarrassed for him when I read these. And, seriously, who cares where TO is going, where he wants to go and what he thinks. The only tweet I want to hear from him is right after he scores a red-zone TD. How cool would that be if he tweeted his celebration in real-time?!?!
Wgr55, please stop adding fuel to the silly season. The Sabres are not getting Boumeister or Komisarek or Cammaleri or Heatley or anyone in demand. We have, officially, two silly seasons in Buffalo – March 1 and July 1. Due to the pathetic fact that our off-season is more interesting than the regular season, we seem to fall into this mind-set that Buffalo can get Julius Peppers or Terrell Suggs or Dany Heatly. These players have options and endorsements. Pimping the local Lexus dealer or munching on a Super Mighty is not considered by most to be legitimate endorsement dollars. Drury, Briere, Campbell, Grier, Dumont ands just about everyone other than Kalinin and Max, left because they had options in bigger, better markets. We get players that have few or no options. It is not management’s fault that players do not want to be here. They cannot make these players visit or sign. Even Piso T. chose Chicago over Buffalo , even though he would start here. Buffalo is a great city, with great people – that are from here. No one moves here anymore – least of all million dollar athletes if they have options. Stop creating straw men just to burn them down.
I just want our teams to matter again. I just want them to win something. I am 37. I lived through 4 Super Bowl losses, 2 Stanley Cup losses (yes, I remember Dad breaking the radio when we lost to the Flyers in 75), Home-Run Throwback, No-Goal, No-Goal that counted (See Leclair) and, the most difficult of all to me, the Carolina series. It’s just getting too hard to take these playoff losses. But, nothing is worse than irrelevance. Getting your hear-ripped out and then reading about it as the main story in a national publication is better than apathy and indifference in relative anonymity. The Bills have not mattered in 10 years and the Sabres are starting to look like a team that will not matter for 10 more. We are just good enough to sell tickets.

Alexander Ovechkin was suspended for two games for his hit on Brian Campbell. Your thoughts?
He should've been suspended much longer.
  Two games is about right.
Shouldn't have been suspended at all.
