The excitement continues to build for the Buffalo Sabres NHL Entry Draft Party, set for this Friday at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery from 3-10 p.m. The event is free and open to fans of all ages, with activities taking place at various locations around the Art Gallery. Parking is also free, and will be available across the street at Buffalo State College. Schopp and the Bulldog will broadcast live starting at 3 p.m., with Brian Koziol and Nick Mendola taking over at 7 p.m.. Paul Hamilton will be live in Montreal and will join our draft coverage starting at 7. To prepare yourself for the draft, check out our on-line draft section.
Sabres forwards Tim Connolly and Adam Mair will be available for autographs in Clifton Hall starting at 7:30 p.m. To avoid long lines, there will be a limited number of autograph line tickets available. Ticket distribution will begin at 6 p.m. outside the front entrance of Clifton Hall. Fans will be asked to return to the lineup area at 7 p.m. There is a limit of one autograph per person. No staged photographs please.
Kevin Sylvester will host a roundtable discussion featuring Sabres Alumni Rob Ray and Mike Robitaille from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the Gallery Auditorium. Fans will be able to watch live video coverage of the 2009 Entry Draft from the Bell Centre in Montreal beginning at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium.
Kids will have the opportunity to play street hockey in the Art Gallery’s front parking lot. They are asked to bring their own sticks, and all children under 12 must bring and wear a helmet. Maria Genero will be hosting a Q&A session with Sabretooth beginning at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium. There will also be several inflatable activities, interactive games and hockey-themed arts and crafts. There will also be live music throughout the evening from the Carl Motyka Band.
