(WGR 550) -- Derek Roy has joined the list of Sabres invited to partake in their national team's 2010 Winter Olympic camp this summer.

Ryan Miller was invited to US camp earlier this week, while Thomas Vanek is a regular on the Austrian team. Henrik Tallinder has a shot at playing for Sweden, while Toni Lydman and Teppo Numminen have played for Team Finland. Jochen Hecht and Phillip Gogulla should be fixtures for Germany.

He's good but just not good enough to be playing with all those superstars including crosby and the staal brothers and the list goes on....wonder if ruff would have an influence on this decision...

If Roy's "not good enough", then why the invite? He's done extremely well for team Canada thus far. Thanks to the flame outs in Buffalo the last two years, he has had a terrific run for them at the World Championships. Good for him.
