Former Bills defensive end Bruce Smith has been found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol in a Virginia court. Smith was given a 90-day suspended jail term by Judge Teresa McCrimmon and fined $350. Smith license was suspended for one year for refusing to take a breath test.
Smith says that he will appeal the sentence.
Smith is scheduled for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August. He was elected into the Hall on January 31st along with Bills owner Ralph Wilson.
